What is a Cron Heartbeat?
A Cron Heartbeat (also known as a Dead Man's Switch) allows your background scripts and cron jobs to notify StatusPulse upon successful execution via a simple HTTP GET ping. If StatusPulse does not receive a ping within your expected interval plus grace period, an alert is automatically fired.
